The Clay City Excellence in Education Foundation has set a goal to raise one million dollars over the next 5 years.

Revenue Sources
The Foundation is funded through various means.
1. Business and individual contributions
2. Designated gifts, wills, and trusts
3. Local and National Grants
4. In-kind contributions, such as donation of time, materials, and equipment

Are contributions tax deductible?
Yes. Contributions to the Clay City Excellence in Education Foundation can be treated as a charitable deduction for federal income, gift, or estate tax purposes.*

How are funds dispersed?
The Foundation’s board members will review proposals and then determine how funds should be spent. Suggestions and recommendations are welcomed from parents, students, teachers, and other members of the community.

May I designate how my contribution will be spent?
Yes. The Foundation accepts both restricted and unrestricted contributions as well as endowment funds and donations for specific projects. However, because of its tax-free status, it must reserve the right to accept or reject any donations that might jeopardize this status.

How can I provide in my will for a contribution to the Foundation?
With proper legal counsel, your will may include the Foundation.

Can all or part of my life insurance policy designate the Foundation as a beneficiary?
Yes, contact your insurance carrier to make arrangements.

*The Foundation is organized under section 501 (c)(3) for IRS purposes.
